What does the index not show?

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a session from an AI assistant?

A Google Analytics 4 session whose source is ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude or another assistant in the list above. Sessions without a referrer are recorded as direct and are not counted.

Why the median and not the average?

The median is the share of the site in the middle, so a very large or very small site does not pull it. The 25th and 75th percentiles show how far apart the sites are.

Does this show the share for all websites?

No. Only sites connected to Organiq whose owners opted in are included, and each edition states how many sites it covers. Use it as a reference point, not as a market total.

How does a site take part or leave?

Participation is optional and set per property by the account owner. Write to youssefpmat@gmail.com and the property is added or removed from the next edition. No site, domain or account is ever named.

Does the index count AI crawlers such as GPTBot?

No. Crawlers do not run the Google Analytics 4 tag, so they never appear in these sessions. The index measures people who arrived from an assistant.

How often is it updated and how do I cite it?

Once a month, on the 2nd, for the month that just closed. Cite as: Organiq AI traffic index, September 2026, https://organiqgeo.com/ai-traffic-index.
